Hi! Welcome back to Sincerely Reine! It's definitely been a long time since I've updated my blog but since then I've moved to a self hosted site and I'm so ready to slay blogging again. I know it's a little unusual to come back after a few months with a haul post without explaining where I've been but I promise that will come in a future post! For the mean time I thought I would share with you some recent buys from The Body Shop. Enjoy!
Since moving to Canada I've been nonstop shopping and it just so happened my local mall was having a sale so I took advantage of it and headed over to have a day of shopping. I've also bought SO MANY OTHER THINGS from other shops which I will be doing a separate post on but I thought I would give The Body Shop a separate post seeing how I purchased so many products.
Let's get into the goodies, shall we?
SUPERFOOD MASKS ($6)
The superfood masks comes in a really cute cardboard box that contains 3 masks in little packets that are basically the smaller versions of the masks The Body Shop came out with recently this year. This is perfect for those wanting to try out the masks before spending $ on the full sized ones! These packets come with the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow face mask, the British Rose Plumping face mask and the Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing face mask. All 3 are one time use with 5g in each packet.
On the back of the box it says you're suppose to use all 3 in one go! The Himalayan Charcoal on the forehead and nose, the Ethiopian Honey on the cheeks and the British Rose on the chin.
I originally was going to follow the instructions, but I noticed there were a lot of product left even after covering half my face with the Himalayan mask so I decided to use the three masks separately.
I really love the British Rose Plumping Face Mask and I'm thinking of purchasing the full sized one. Have you tried these before?
VITAMIN C INSTANT GLOW ENHANCER ($20)
This little package was actually meant for my mom but I thought I would include it here as well and unfortunately it just didn't work out. My mom was complaining about it and after trying it out myself, I couldn't agree more with what she was saying about it. The product doesn't really absorb into the skin and sits on top instead and if you touch your face or put makeup over it the product flakes right off and gets all over. I'm not certain if you're suppose to put makeup over it or if it's just something you're suppose to use on a no makeup-day as it doesn't say on the packaging but the sales clerk in the store we went to did say you could. Either way, it just didn't work out.
COLOUR CRUSH NAIL POLISH ($9)
I also decided to pick up two polishes in the colours caring caramel and frosting fancy. I honestly regret it so much that I didn't buy more as these were on sale for ONLY $1!! Both polishes are highly pigmented and you could get away with one layer but if you're like me and want your nails to really pop, then 2 coats will suffice. It's also worth mentioning that frosting fancy is a little streaky on the first layer but that can be easily fixed by putting on a second layer.
COLOUR CRUSH SINGLE EYESHADOW ($11)
This was such a random purchase but I also got a single eyeshadow in the shade 220 chocolate linger; an ashy cool toned brown. It is a little chalky but I love how blendable and pigmented it is. I've been using it lots as my transition shade and find it matches well with my everyday eyeshadow look.
FRESH SORBET BLUSHES ($18)
Last but not least I also picked up some cream blushes. I got the shades Florida Sunstar and Lychee Blossom. When I opened the packaging I expected it to have that 'clean and untouched' look like most cream blushes I've owned has had but they came a little messy as you can see in the picture above.
Florida Sunstar is a orange toned blush with a little shimmer while Lychee Blossom is baby pink in colour. Both of these blend so beautifully and the colour looks really natural when applied. They do have a frangrance that reminds me of soap/mens perfume and is a little strong but I personally don't mind it.
