By The Seaside

Moving to a different country means more exploring and there are so many places to visit in British Columbia. To start, I decided to be a tourist for the day and head to North Vancouver.

Taking the seabus, we headed over to Lonsdale Quay Market which is located beside the sea with a stunning view of downtown Vancouver and the mountains. One of my favourite things about British Columbia is that you can see the mountains, the sea and the city all at once if you know the right places.

You can find Lonsdale Quay Market after you exit the seabus. Major bonus points because I don’t have to do much walking and getting lost you know?

The market itself is a really friendly and calm environment which I love, because places like these are usually crowded and loud. We spent the day walking around and browsing through the stores, though I ended up not buying anything because everything was so overpriced as it is a tourist spot.

To say that I’m obsessed with the aesthetic of this place is putting it lightly. Pops of red, cozy, rustic… and I bet it’s even better during autumn. Who’s excited for the cold weather and the pretty colours outside? I know I am!

And then finally the hunger came so we went to the food court where they had such a great selection of food and different cuisines such as Mexican and Vietnamese but I decided to go for the classic fish and chips. I was by the sea and it only seemed right 😉

After eating my fish and chips and enjoying the view we headed back to downtown Vancouver and walked around Canada Place. Canada place is your typical tourist spot that everyone who visits Vancouver just automatically goes to and for good reason too. Filled with restaurants, cute cafes and of course a stunning view, it’s the perfect place to take a stroll and enjoy the fresh air.

I was able to visit part of British Columbia when I was 10. My dad was in Seattle for a week-long work trip, and my mom and I decided to make a vacation out of it. We visited Seattle, the San Juan Islands, Victoria, and Butchart Gardens. We had so much fun! I definitely want to go back and take my husband!

I’ve yet to go to Victoria, though I probably will take a trip soon as I’ve heard great things about it! x

I love these types of posts! I’ve never been to vancouver, or Canada for that matter, though its only like, an hour- 2hour flight away. I can’t believe you moved to Vancouver! That is such a huge change. Did you make a post about why you moved? I’d love to read it. xx
